I think these softer suits that showed up in 1954
as part of Dior’s H line (straight jacket, straight
skirt, with a low, loose belt) with their longer cut
and bloused backs are the epitome of Paris chic.
constructed of a nubby brown and black wool
tweed.
The jacket is cut full in front with a loose back
fitted at hips in back and accented with a bow.
Front slash pockets, self fabric buttons and
smock like seaming.
Fully lined.
Straight skirt has side metal zipper, kick pleat.
Condition: No Flaws to note, near mint
It is always best to measure an item that fits you
well and compare. I measure from side to side
and then double for bust, waist and hips (7
inches down from waistline). Bodice length and
total length are from top of shoulder down.
